4K CATTLE COMPANY

4K Cattle Company has been raising cattle for over 120 years. They believe cattle should live the way cattle are meant to live - enjoying open pastures with room to roam and grazing on grass and forages at their leisure. Their cattle are never given implanted hormones, fed animal byproducts or treated with antibiotics.

4K Cattle Company producers follow the grazing techniques of Alan Savory, the grandfather of modern pasture management in America. Their cattle are always treated with respect and handled carefully, including the use of low-stress Dr. Temple Grandin designed animal-handling systems.

4K Cattle Company is also committed to sustainable agriculture and healthy land preservation practices.

Where Our Beef Comes From...

Walker Family Farms

For five generations the Walker family has raised cattle in Iowa. Their founders have been involved in agriculture their entire lives. Raised in farming families, summers were spent bailing hay, showing cattle at county fairs, and attending livestock auctions.

As word spread at these auctions about the quality of their animals and the care they received, the family learned that many in their community became organic-certified a decade earlier but had trouble finding markets for their products. It was during these discussions that the idea for their organic, grass-fed beef program was born.

Their mission has been to promote agriculture, mindful of the next generation. As America’s premier organic, grass-fed beef suppliers, Steakhouse Naturals shares in their mission and is proud to have them as one of our partners.
